Pasta Pasta Fresca can knead different flour mixes for pasta, always guaranteeing the perfect dough for the different shapes. Bread and pizza The special movement of the mixer blade is ideal for preparing savoury mixtures and to reactivate them after leavening. Using a fine grit stone to polish your edge can actually help to make carbon steel knives more rust proof. Start with a generous amount of water over the stone and finish by pressing your blade lightly in the slurry. The particles in the slurry act as a buffer to polish your blade. The nagura or buffer stone that is included with this stone will also help you create a slurry that aids with sharpening and polishing.

This whetstone has been baked and is porous so had better to be soaked in water until the bubbles stop surfacing, but you can use it by splashing the water. You will feel the difference when its soaked or splashed.
